You have assigned several employees to be the Claim Assignees for Finance, however, they are unable to approve claims when they click on tasks under the 'Pending Actions' panel.

This is because, you have not enabled their access to approve the claims. For Claim Assignees regardless the HR or Finance, they need to have access to HR Lounge > Claims > Dashboard in order to approve employees' submitted claims.

In this article, it will be divided into two (2) parts =

Step A : Set the approver for the claims.

Step B : Enable the approver's access to the Claims module at the HR Lounge.

A. HOW TO SET THE APPROVER FOR THE CLAIMS ?

1. Go to HR Lounge > Expense Claims

2. Go to Settings > Claim Assignees

(Here, you will be able to select people from the HR & Finance Department, who are responsible for approving claims.)

3. Select the Names from the dropdown list.

4. Click Save settings to complete the action.

B. HOW TO ENABLE THE APPROVER'S ACCESS TO THE CLAIMS MODULE ?

1. Go to Settings > User Groups.

2. Select Edit (green pencil icon) at the Finance user group.

3. Select Pages Access > HR Lounge (you are enabling permission to access the HR Lounge)

4. Next, select HR Modules Permission > Claim Module > Enable.

5. Next, at 'Allow module configuration', select Disabled from the dropdown.

6. Then, at 'Perform actions on behalf of others', untick the option (because we do not want Finance to approve on behalf of other approvers)

7. Click Save to complete the action.

*Note : This way, the approver from the Finance department will be able to see all claims of all employees, but will only be able to approve the claims that they have been authorized to approve. They will also be able to 'Mark as reimbursed.'
