A. UNDERSTANDING THE SUBSIDIARIES FEATURE IN BRIOHR


This feature allows a connection between the main account and subsidiary accounts, for faster management and interaction between the accounts. By using this feature, users will be able to swiftly connect to any of the subsidiary accounts using the same login credentials, instead of having multiple usernames and passwords.


B. RELATED USERS FOR THE SUBSIDIARIES FEATURE


Users that will benefit from the Subsidiaries feature are :

a. Admin - Who needs to manage users in other subsidiary accounts.

b. Manager - Who needs to process approval requests of his/her direct reports, from other subsidiary accounts.


C. SETTING UP SUBSIDIARIES IN BRIOHR


Follow the steps below to set up the Subsidiaries feature:


1. Identify the main account :

Identify the main account from the list of available accounts and advise BrioHR accordingly. The main account would be the account wherein the Admin user is located. 


2. Connect the Admin user to the other accounts :

a. Admin user is to login to their BrioHR main account.

b. Then, click on Settings > Users.



c. Identify the Admin user for Subsidiaries setup and click on the "" icon to view the extended options. Proceed to click on Subsidiaries access.



d. A list of available account(s) will appear at the Configure subsidiaries access pop-up window. Turn on the toggle to enable the selected subsidiary account.

e. Fill in the information as required by the system (Department, Office, User Group) by selecting the dropdown option from each field, and click Save to complete the action.


At this point, the connection to another subsidiary account has been set up.



D. HOW TO START USING THE SUBSIDIARY FEATURE?


a. The Admin user would be able to view a new Subsidiaries menu at the Home page. You may access the feature by clicking on Subsidiaries.


 

b. At the Subsidiaries Overview page, you will be able to see all the subsidiaries that you can access and the pending actions you have to perform in each of them.  Login to the available subsidiary on the list, by clicking on the arrow icon.



c. The Admin user will then be navigated to the Home page of the subsidiary account and will be able to access the account to manage the other users. To return to the main account, the Admin user can click on the Main Branch icon.



E. MANAGING USERS IN BOTH MAIN AND SUBSIDIARY ACCOUNTS


1. To access the Subsidiaries feature, the User must login from the main account. 


2. Only the Admin user has the right to give other user groups the access to subsidiary accounts listed in the main account. 


3. When creating the connection to the subsidiary account, it will automatically create a User profile in the subsidiary account. The User will appear as an employee in subsidiary account(s). The access can be adjusted to exclude users from appearing in Payroll processing, having Leave entitlements or being part of the Performance review. Users however, will appear in the Employee Reports.
