WHAT IS THE CP22A FORM?


CP22A is a form submitted by employers to notify the Inland Revenue Board/Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) of an employee's cessation of employment, termination of employment, or cessation by reason of death.


Where the employer is about to cease to employ an employee who is or is likely to be chargeable to tax in respect of income from the employment or an employee under his employment dies, the employer is required to furnish the CP22A Form not less than 30 days before the cessation of employment or not more than 30 days after being informed of the death.

HOW TO GENERATE THE CP22A FORM FROM BRIOHR?


1. At HR Lounge, click on Payroll.

2. Scroll down to the Payroll employees list.


3. Tick the "Show inactive employees" checkbox.

4. At the employee you wish to generate the form for, click on the ACTIONS dropdown menu and select "CP22A".





4. Fill in the relevant fields, and then click on the Generate icon to download the form accordingly.



*NOTE 
1. For Column E (DECLARATION BY AUTHORISED OFFICER), kindly select the date from the calendar, as this field is MANDATORY
. You will not be able to generate the form if the date is not selected.





2. Kindly also ensure to fill in the "REGISTRATION INFORMATION" such as the Phone Number, Officer Name, and Officer Position at the Payroll Settings.



 


If the information is incomplete, you will receive a Warning notification as shown in the sample screenshot below. Kindly refer to the instructions in the warning text, and input the missing information accordingly, before you generate the form again.





CUSTOM PAYROLL ITEM SETTINGS


To select where the custom payroll item should appear in the CP22A Form, follow the below steps:


1. At HR Lounge > Payroll, click on Settings.


2. Scroll down to the Default Payslip Items table, and click on :

a.  Item List > Edit : For existing custom payroll item; or
b. +Create custom item : For new custom payroll item


3. At the "Where it should appear in EA form?" field, select "B.1 (a)-Gross salary, wages or leave pay (incl.overtime)" from the dropdown menu.





4. At the "Where it should appear in the CP22A form?" field, select :


a. "Follow EA form calculation"; or

b. "Leave Pay : Included in B.2 calculation"





5. Click Submit to complete the action.
