WHAT IS THE CP21 FORM?


CP21 is a form submitted by employers to notify the Inland Revenue Board/Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) of an employee who will be leaving Malaysia.


Where an employee chargeable to tax in respect of the income from an employment is about to leave or intending to leave Malaysia for a period exceeding 3 months, the employer is required to furnish Form CP21 not less than 30 days before the expected date of employee’s departure.

HOW TO GENERATE THE CP21 FORM FROM BRIOHR?


1. At HR Lounge, click on Payroll.

2. Scroll down to the Payroll employees list.


3. Tick the "Show inactive employees" checkbox.

(Note: The CP21 Form will be available once the HR Admin has set the employee's employment end date.) 


4. At the employee you wish to generate the form for, click on the ACTIONS dropdown menu and select "CP21".





4. Fill in the relevant fields, and then click on the Generate icon to download the form accordingly.



*NOTE 
1. For Column E (DECLARATION BY AUTHORISED OFFICER), kindly select the date from the calendar, as this field is MANDATORY. You will not be able to generate the form if the date is not selected.





2. Kindly also ensure to fill in the "REGISTRATION INFORMATION" such as the Phone Number, Officer Name, and Officer Position at the Payroll Settings. 





If the information is incomplete, you will receive a Warning notification as shown in the sample screenshot below. Kindly refer to the instructions in the warning text, and input the missing information accordingly, before you generate the form again.
