Q1 : 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ADD OR MODIFY FIXED REMUNERATIONS FROM THE PAYROLL DASHBOARD (RUN PAYROLL) ? 



1. Fixed Remunerations that have already been used in a past payroll can no longer be modified from the Payroll Dashboard. The amount will be greyed out, and there will be no "Edit" or "Delete" button.


It can, however, be forced modified at the employee's Profile > Compensation tab > Fixed Remunerations table.

*TAKE NOTE : Force modifying fixed remunerations that have been used in past payrolls can create inconsistencies with the payslips and payroll reports.






2. New fixed remunerations that have been added directly from the Payroll Dashboard WILL NOT reflect in the Fixed Remunerations table at the employee's Profile > Compensation tab > Fixed Remunerations table. 


Instead, you must create the new fixed remuneration from the Fixed Remuneration table at the employee's Profile > Compensation tab, and it will be applied automatically at the Payroll Dashboard when you "Run Payroll", according to the effective date you have selected.

Q2 :


WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DELETE A FIXED REMUNERATION THAT IS BEING USED IN THE PAYROLL, FROM THE FIXED REMUNERATIONS TABLE (PROFILE > COMPENSATION TAB) ?



1. If the start date (effective date) of the fixed remuneration FOLLOWS the current payroll month = 


The fixed remuneration will be deleted from BOTH the Fixed Remunerations table (Profile > Compensation tab) and the payroll for the current month (Payroll Dashboard > Run Payroll) for that employee.

For example : 
i. Current payroll month is August 2022.
ii. You have run payroll for August 2022.
iii. The fixed remuneration effective date is set as 1st August 2022.
iv. The fixed remuneration is deleted from Profile > Compensation tab > Fixed Remunerations table.
v. The fixed remuneration will also be deleted from the August 2022 payroll for that employee.



2. If the start date (effective date) of the fixed remuneration DOESN'T FOLLOW the current payroll month =


The fixed remuneration will NOT be deleted from the Payroll Dashboard for that employee


At the Fixed Remunerations table (Profile > Compensation tab), the fixed remuneration will NOT be deleted also.


Instead, the end date will be modified to one day before, at the Fixed Remunerations table (Profile > Compensation tab). The end date will follow according to the last payslip the item was included in.

For example : 
i. Current payroll month is August 2022.
ii. You have completed July 2022 payroll and are now running payroll for August 2022.
iii. The fixed remuneration effective date was set as 1st July 2022.
iv. The fixed remuneration will not be deleted from Profile > Compensation tab > Fixed Remunerations table.
v. The fixed remuneration end date will be modified to 31st July 2022 at the Profile > Compensation tab > Fixed Remunerations table.
vi. The fixed remuneration will not be deleted from the July 2022 payroll for that employee.
