Before you start opening the Timesheet Module for all employees, you need to make sure the settings of this module is properly set up.

For the Timesheet settings, there are two (2) parts you need to configure =

Part A : Company Settings
Part B : Employee Timesheet Settings (Includes approver and work hours customization for specific employees)

In this article, we're going to focus on Part (A) : Company Settings. To read Part (B), click here.

Part A: Company Settings

To get started, login to BrioHR

1. Go to HR Lounge

2. Click on Timesheets

On the Timesheet dashboard

3. Click on Settings

5. Choose the Submission Due Date : This will be the basis of submit reminder date in below steps

6. Input number of hours for Work Hours : IMPORTANT: This will be the basis for total man-hours input in Timesheet. If the total man-hours input exceeds the number of Work Hours here, the system will automatically set the extra hours as an Overtime.

For example,  Company XYZ Pte Ltd work hours set is 7.5

If Employee M's total man-hours input in his Timesheet for the day is 9 hours, the extra 1.5 hours (9 hours - 7.5 hours) is considered as an Overtime in the his Timesheet record.

7. Set up Approval Workflow : You can design as many approver levels as you wish. The Approval Workflow here applies to everyone who are involved in the Timesheet Module. If you wish to customize the approver person, refer to PART B.

However, there are two (2) types of approvers only :

  1. Position : Choose either Manager, or Client
  2. Select Employee : Choose the specific employee to be the approver

Note:

  • Choose Manager, it will be the employee's direct manager and NOT the project manager to be the Timesheet approver
  • Choose Client, it will be the client assigned for the respective project will be the Timesheet approver. If you don't see option for 'Client', kindly contact BrioHR Live Chat for assistance, or email to support@briohr.com.

8. Submit Reminder : Set the frequency and period for the system to automatically send an email reminder for the employees to submit their Timesheet. You can set the reminder to be before, and/or after the Submission Date.
