We are excited to inform you about an important update from the government that affects all employees in Indonesia.

Did You Know?

Starting from 1 July 2024, an individual's National Identification Number (NIK) will now function as their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP). This change aims to streamline administrative processes and make it easier for individuals to manage their tax obligations.

Key Points:

  • Simplification: The NIK will now serve as the NPWP, reducing the need for multiple identification numbers.
  • Compliance: Ensure personal information is up-to-date to facilitate this transition smoothly.
  • Benefits: This update is expected to simplify tax filings and improve overall efficiency.

The Directorate General of Taxes (Pajak) has made it obligatory for all individuals to validate online, their NIK and NPWP effective from 1 July 2024. If you have not yet validated, it is strongly recommended to do so to avoid any potential issues with tax compliance.

Validation Steps:

  1. Go to Pajak Website
  2. Enter or log in by entering your NIK/NPWP, password, and appropriate security code.
  3. Refer to the main data validation status in the profile menu.
  4. Enter your NIK or NPWP (16 digits) in the column that appears in the menu.
  5. The system will process the verification of data collected by the Directorate General of Population and Civil Status.
  6. If validation is successful, the system will display a notification regarding the data information that has been found.
  7. Finally, log in to the DJP online site using your NIK.

Steps if Validation Fails:

  1. Go to Pajak Website
  2. Press login or access directly at DJP Online
  3. Enter your 15-digit NPWP, password, and appropriate security code.
  4. Press the three-line icon, go to the profile menu, and select profile data.
  5. Enter the 16-digit NIK that matches your KTP.
  6. Check the validity of the data by pressing the validation button.
  7. Press change profile.
  8. If successful, press exit or log out, and then log in again using your NIK.

For assistance with any issues pertaining to the validation process, please contact Pajak directly at Pajak Website.
