*Note

  • You may not completely remove an employee, or their Profile from the system. 
  • You may instead, select 'End Employment' at the resigned employee's Profile, to revoke their user access.
  • Then, the employee will be automatically categorized as 'Inactive', and will no longer appear in the list of active employees. 
  • Only the Admin User with access is able to perform this action.



A) To Change Account Status from 'Active' to 'Inactive'


Please refer to the below steps, for more details on how to 'End Employment' :


1. Once you have logged in to your BrioHR account, click on the People icon.

2. Search for the Name/ID of the employee at the Search column.

3. Click on the name of the employee to navigate to the employee's Profile.



4. At the resigned employee's Profile, click on the Ellipsis ( '...') icon, next to the Edit button.

5. Select End employment from the dropdown.

,



6. Input the Employment End Date to revoke the resigned employee's user access from the system.
7. Click Save to complete the action. Otherwise, click Cancel to cancel the action.



*Note


1. An employee which has been listed as 'Inactive' will automatically be excluded from the Payroll. Hence, there is no need to manually remove the employee again from the Payroll. The system will prorate the amount for the payroll cycle according to the Employment End Date selected.


2. If you do not see the Ellipsis button, that means you do not have the permission to edit an employee's end date. Please reach out to your Account Admin to enable the permission for you!


3. An employee's profile will change status from 'Active' to 'Inactive' once his employment end date has passed.



After completing the above steps, you may double check the status of the resigned employee by following these steps :


1. Click on Settings.

2. Click on Users

3. Search for the name of the resigned employee, to view the 'Inactive' status and

 Employment End Date.



B) To Restore resigned employee's account status from 'Inactive' to 'Active'
