We have updated our 360 Feedback in the Performance module with a new feature!

With the latest feature, you can now use the Average rating given by 360 feedback givers as the appraisal's competencies rating.

A. There are 2 ways the 360-feedback can be used:

1) 360-feedback enabled

A set of general questions will be asked for the feedback givers to answer accordingly

2) 360 feedback and Rate Competencies enabled

Feedback givers will be asked to comment and rate the employee's competencies accordingly

This new feature is only applicable to the Second method shown above, if both the 360 feedback and the Rate Competencies have been enabled.

Reminder: If the Rate Competencies have not been selected, you will not be able to tick on the box 'Use the Average rating given by 360 feedback givers as appraisal's competencies rating'

NOTE: Selecting this feature to be used allows the 360-feedback provided to affect the overall rating of the appraisal.

B. Conditions to be met when using this function

1) In Step 4 - Determine the appraisal's key milestones and Step 5 - Select your add-ons: 1 on 1 and 360 Feedback, both the Number of Ratings must be the same, for example 4 and 4. The titles of each rating can be different; however, the number of ratings need to be identical.

If the number of ratings differ, for example, Appraisal Ratings has 4 ratings and the Feedback Ratings has 5 ratings, when you click on Start Cycle to launch the new cycle, the system will show the below error:

FAQ

1) If the Rate Competencies were not chosen for any of the 360-feedback during an active cycle, can this be edited later to have this option included?

This function can be enabled during an active cycle, provided that one of the 360-feedback chosen also has the Rate Competencies options chosen. If none of the Rate Competencies were chosen for the 360-feedback, this function cannot be edited and changed during an active cycle.

2) What happens if this function had not been applied at the start of the cycle and only enabled after the Appraiser has submitted their appraisal?

Once this function has been applied, it will over-right the Appraiser's rating. The Appraiser will only be able to edit the comment section but not the ratings.

3) Where can I check which ratings were used in the appraisal?

You can check this at HR Lounge > Reports > Performance 360 Feedback > Column (Ratings included in the Competency's Appraisal)

4) Situation:  One of the feedback givers had not submitted their ratings and comments, and the Manager/Appraiser has submitted the appraisal - when the feedback giver wants to submit their ratings and comments, they will receive a warning that the comments and rating submitted might not be included in the overall average rating.

Solution: Reopen the appraisal, the system will auto-refresh the average calculations.

5) Situation: This feature was enabled at the start of the cycle and then disabled during the active cycle - How will this impact the Performance?

Solution: It will impact on the 360 feedbacks that have not been completed yet, as it will revert back to the normal method of Manager's comment and rating. As for those employees who initially had the 360 ratings as the average will remain unless they reopen the appraisal - then it will also revert to the normal method of Managers comment and rating.
