This feature allows HR/Admin users to decide the minimum number of consecutive days that can be booked at a time by the employees. This is especially helpful for specific leave types such as "Blocked Leave" for example

To enable the settings, please follow the steps below.

1. Ensure that you have HR/Admin access to the Leave module in the HR Lounge.

  • Settings > User Groups > Select User Group > Edit > HR Modules Permission
  • Leave Module > Enabled
  • Allow module configuration > Choose the relevant option
  • Allow dashboard access > Choose the relevant option

2. Go to HR Lounge > Leave > Leave Policies > View leave details.

3. Scroll down to "Set a minimum number of days that can be booked at a time (consecutive days)" under LEAVE ADVANCE SETTINGS, select "Yes, set a limit" and input the number of day(s).

4. Please remember to click Save settings once you have done the changes.

Once the settings have been configured, when an employee submits a leave application for the leave type that is lesser than the number of minimum consecutive days set, he will not be able to apply for leave successfully.

The system will prompt a warning message as shown in the example below:

IMPORTANT NOTE

One thing that you will need to take note of is the settings: "Set a limit to the period that can be booked at a time (consecutive days)".

This is to set up the maximum number of days that can be booked at a time.

Therefore, please do not set less than the number of days in the "Set a minimum number of days that can be booked at a time (consecutive days)" settings.

This will cause the employee to never be able to apply for leave successfully if the two rules are conflicting (eg, maximum number of periods is 3 days, minimum number of days is 5 days)

The employee will see the warning message as per the screenshot below when trying to apply for 5 days leave:
