Every time you have a new payroll center, one of the most important thing to do is to setup the company payroll information such as the filling in the company registration number, bank account details and salary proration calculation.


NOTE : Incomplete Company Payroll General Settings will cause issues when processing your salary payroll, and accessing payroll documents!



Login to the BrioHR account


1. Click on HR Lounge


2. Navigate to Payroll




You'll be directed to the Payroll dashboard page.


3. Click on Settings




4. Click on "General".

 

This page is COMPULSORY to be filled in prior to running the payroll.

Part 1) General Information


  • Name: Give the name of your payroll center 
  • Logo: This logo will appear on your payslip
  • Address: This is the company address and it will appear on the EA Form, Form E and other relevant payroll documents.
  • Define as main payroll center : Allow to combine bank and statutory files of several payroll centers. For more info, please click here



Part 2) Registration Information


Please ensure you have input the below mandatory fields =

  • Company registration number
  • E number (Employer tax number)
  • C number (Company tax number)
  • EPF number
  • SOCSO number


Note: If your company is the recipient of PSU (Program Subsidy Upah) or WSP (Wage Subsidy Programme), please select the checkbox below the SOCSO number. Click here to know more



Please ensure you have input the below mandatory fields =


  • Phone Number (of the company/officer)
  • Officer Name (or, Nama Pegawai) : fill in the name of your payroll officer. If you don't add, it won't appear in some payroll documents such as EA Form, Form E and CP8D Form
  • Officer IC or Passport
  • Officer Position
  • Officer Email Address
  • Organizations : select which statutory bodies that your company contributes. There are five (5) choices to choose from : EPF, EIS, SOCSO, HRDF and PRS (Private retirement scheme). If you don't select it, it will NOT appear during a payroll run



Part 3) Bank Account


Please ensure you have input the below mandatory fields =


  • Bank Account : this is the bank account your company use for salary payment. If you use Maybank Berhad, kindly look for Malayan Banking Berhad
  • Account Holder Name
  • Account Number




Part 4) Calendar


Please ensure you have input the below mandatory fields =


  • Hours per day: this refers to the number of working hours per day for your company.
  • Basis for Prorate Salary Calculation: Choose formula you company refer to when calculating salary proration. Refer to this article for more info.
  • Basis for Overtime Calculation : Choose formula you company refer to when calculating overtime. Refer to this article for more info.
  • Basis for Unpaid Leave Calculation : Choose formula you company refer to when calculating unpaid leave. Refer to this article for more info.
  • Income basis for overtime and unpaid calculation : Overtime and unpaid leave calculation will based on the basic salary and the item(s) selected here (optional, refer explanation below)*


*Explanation if your calculation of overtime and unpaid leave is done based on :
 basic salary + <additional pay item>, then you need to select the other pay item here.

For example, Overtime and Unpaid leave calculation will be done based on 
Basic Salary + Travelling/Petrol Allowance (Official Duties)




Part 5) Payslips


This function helps to "hide" any benefits in kind from appearing in payslip only but there are records available in payroll report. 


If you add benefits in kind (BIK) during a payroll run, however you don't want those BIK items to appear in the payslip, please enable this function.
