Discover the latest impactful enhancements to our Expense Claims module. We've introduced the exciting new feature “Claims Policies” designed to elevate your experience with setting up different claim policies and enhance the existing feature “Claim Types, Claim Groups, and Settings”.

This article will share in depth about the enhanced and additional features below:

1. Claim Types

Here you can add a new claim type, edit/delete/disable existing claim types, modify the basic configuration (title, description, account code, mandatory attachment rule, custom fields), set up payroll connections, and enable/disable the claim type.

For more information on how to add new claim types, click here.

Important note: You can decide the newly created claim type to include in which claim policies. Kindly note that the newly created claim type will not be auto-included in the existing claim policies.

2. Claim Groups

Here you can add/edit/delete claim groups (Have to create a claim group first if you wish to set a custom approval workflow for a group of claim types).

For more information on how to add a new claim group, click here.

Important note: Only grouped claim types with defined approval workflow can be mixed within the same claim report.

3. Claim Policies (New Feature)

Here you can add/edit/delete claim policies, select the claim types and approval workflow that should be applied in respective claim policies, decide the claim type limit (per transaction/month/year), and assign claim policies to the employees.

For more information on how to create and manage claim policies, click here.

Important note: For existing claim module users, they will be auto assigned to "Default Claim Policy".

4. Settings

Here you can select the cut-off date, transaction date validity, claim assignees, and link payroll centers to payroll items (“Send to payroll feature”).

For more information on how to configure claims settings, click here.

Important note: Remember to “Save settings” at the bottom of the page + enable access to the claim's module in HR Lounge for claim assignees.
